Trello

Augmented Reality

 Augmented reality is the integration of audio and visual content, usually using camera and computer/smartphone. For example in the app game Pokemon Go, you can use the telephone's camera to capture pokemons, even if they don't actually exist in real life. We can also use this technology in selfies and education.

Virtual Reality

 Virtual Reality is a place where we can feel it as if it was real with all our sensory organs. Right now the technology is not yet developed but we have vr goggles. Of course with additional technologies like headphones scent mask we can enhance its reality. You can use it for advertisement or games, and in the educational sense it can increase engagement and creativity.

Kahoot

 Kahoot is a game based learning platform. It is used for educational purposes and some universities's (like Istanbul University) teachers also use it for classes. You can create a quizz with multiple choice, send the codes to your student and play the game in the class, which can make the class both fun and educational. Here is a tutorial for Kahoot.

Pixton

 Pixton is a comic and storyboard maker for students and teahcers. You can also use it for business and family matters. Pixton's app is free to use (howewer, it has a pro version which is not free). You can also create a character on the site. You can learn more about it in this video.

Quizlet

 Quizlet is a multi-national American company. In its site, you can create designs and tools that are useful in learning. You can create games that are educational for your students and as the name implies, you can create quizzes. As of April 2021, there are 350 million user generated flashcard sets in the site. Here is a video that can make you understand the site better.

Canva

 Canva is a graphic design platform that helps you create social media graphics, presentations, posters, documents and other content. There are templates in Canva that you can use. Canva is also free (although it has subscription). Here is a introductory video on Canva.

Socrative

 Socrative is a test making site that helps teachers create tests and give students feedback on the results of these tests. In Socrative, you can solve these tests with different devices that can connect to the internet like smartphone and tablet, and as a teacher you can see the progress bar of the students of these tests. Storybird

 Storybird is a language art tool that helps you create digital books. It contains standarts-based curriculum writing, writing challanges,quizzez, learning scenarios and many more content that would help a teacher in his/her class. It also has google class integration and private classrooms. Here is a video about how it works.

Toontastic animation

 Toontastic is a fantastic app that can help you create animation for many purposes. You can create movies, plays, lessons, or even little games with it. I have uploaded a terrible animation (i am not good at being creative) using Tontastic. In this animation, is am talking about scammers and how to avoid them.

 Journi is an app that allows you to print photos and books. You can use them to create a calendar. Using Journo for printing photos and creating calendars costs money. Journi can be used on computers and on telephones. The app is free. You can photo your life and your trips with Journi. Here is a tutorial for it.

Seesaw

 Seesaw is a classroom app that is used in some of the US schools and over 150 countries. This app can be used for sharing documents and activities between students and teachers. In Seesaw, students have their own journals and they can write notes or add things like photos, vidoes, drawings and notes. Biteable

 Biteable is a video making site designed to help hr, corporate, admins, teachers and many more people. You can: -Use templates for your videos -Create ads -Explain concepts. -Make Animations -Create Business promos -Warn and inform people about Coronavirus -Make lessons for your students. The last one is important. You can use templates to make whatever you need in Biteable. Your imagination is the only limit. You should use it if you want to make video centric lessons.

Mindmeister

 Mindmeister is an online mindmapping application that allows us to visualize and share our thoughts. I created my SAMR and TPACK using mindmeister. Nearpod

 Nearpod is an online classroom maker that can help you create exams, lessons and many more school work that can new be made online. You can add a lot of content to your lessons. The contents listed here, if used well, can make your lessons more engaging and fruitful. Be careful about overusing them. One you created a content it will be shown here. You should try it out!

Flipgrid

 Flipgrid, just like edmodo and google classroom is a tool that allows teachers and students to interact. With Flipgrid, you can: -Create your own class and restrict its access. In Flipgrid you can restrict access to your classroom by just entering your student's username, only allowing google classroom participants or only allowing certain emails. -Create posts and videos and upload it there -Allow your students upload their own videos. Here is my class and a topic:

VOKI

 Voki is a platform where you can create your own character and you can give them a voice (typing or audio recording will do). There are some content that are blocked behind a paywall so be careful of that. You can also create videoclips for lessons but you can only type 600 words or record 60 seconds of your voice so be careful of that. Here is a video i made about language learning in Voki:

 Google Jamboard is a interactive board that you can add pictures and clipnotes to. As the name suggest, it is created by Google. You can -Create a board -Edit the background -Make the board private and only share it with your students -Remove or undo any mistake you made on the board.  Edpuzzle is a platform where you can create interactive content with pre existing videos. you can: -Select a video on Youtube or create it yourself -Edit or add voiceovers to the video (you can't do it with youtube) -Create tasks and questions for your students And create or incorporate a class.
